In the assembly hall of the Dénia town hall, the awards ceremony for the Fallas of this year. The ceremony, which began at 20:30 p.m., brought together representatives of the eleven participating fallas, divided into two sections: four in the Special Section and seven in the First Section.
The members of each falla nervously awaited the announcement of the winners in the assembly hall while outside hundreds of falleros and falleras from each commission filled the plaza. It was time to learn the verdict of this year's jury, which came with surprises and a lot of commotion in the square, where they even whistled and shouted "tongo."
Once deliberate, the long-awaited announcement of the winners in each of the established categories was made. The main flags, those that reward the best monuments, have been left for last, which have been raised in tears, surprisingly, by the Falla Centro, of the Special Section, and by the Falla Darrere del Castell, winner of the First Section for the third consecutive time.
