at the gates of Dénia Castle, in the heart of the old part of the city, is the home of the Les Roques fault. Every March its monuments are part of the festivities of the Fallas, competing in the First Section in both the children's and large categories.

History
Although the official birth of the Les Roques commission dates back to 1947, when the first fallas were established in Dénia, the truth is that twenty years earlier the neighborhood had already planted its first monument. It was in 1927, when a group of neighbors from the neighborhood made a cloth doll that they filled with beach sand and named Uncle Pep. The creators of this ninot walked it through the streets of Dénia and later burned it together with old furniture.
First monument
That was the first seed of a party that twenty years later would bear fruit with the creation of the Centro, Marítimo (Baix la Mar), Oeste and Roques districts. In March 1948, the Les Roques fault planted its first monument at the foot of the castle, the work of neighborhood resident Honorato Salvador Gadea. The first president was Miguel Mahiques Coll and the Fallera Mayor Francisca Torres Payá. A year later, in 1949, the first children's commission was created, of which the children Juan Emilio Monterde and María Teresa Adsuar were representatives.
First prize
In the year 1954 failure got his first first prize with a monument planted by Honorato Salvador, a flaw that used satirically film to deal with the problems of Dénia of the time.
1961 year marks a before and after in the history of the failure by the break of the party in the city, which was revived in the year 1965-66 after clarifying some issues with the city.
Transfer
In the history of Les Roques include location change happened in the year 1989 because of the large size of the monument, which forced the commission to plant Round the Walls. Despite its almost 20 meters high, the fault had to settle for a 5º prize.
Current category
After this anecdotal transfer, the monument was once again sheltered behind the walls of the Les Roques neighbourhood. Currently, the failure competes in the First Section of the Dénia parties with its two monuments.

The Les Roques fault is planted at the confluence of San Francisco and Sant Narcís streets, on the access road to Dénia Castle.
Charges throughout history
In 1948, the Les Roques fault became known with its first charges: Miguel Mahiques Coll and Francisca Torres Paya. Both adults, since it would be necessary to wait until 1952 for Pepita Salort to proclaim herself Fallera Mayor Infantil. The first Children's President was Jose Salvador Perez Devesa in 1970, almost two decades later.
