Falla Campaments: history, location and charges

The Campaments failure is one of the eleven commissions that participate in the Dénia festival, with more than 30 years of history. Its monuments compete every March in the First Section of the Fallas.

History

La falla Campaments was founded in 1991. A small group of friends who love fallas decided to create a new commission, in one of the farthest neighborhoods from the center of Dénia. They planted their first monument in March 1992.

Location

In its first years of history, the Campaments failure planted its monument on Doctor Fleming Street, where its house was also located. In 2008, and due to the coincidence in dates of Holy Week with the days of failures, it was decided to change its location to Avenida de València to avoid traffic problems in access to Dénia. From that moment on, the Campaments failure planted its monument on said avenue, at the height of Mallorca Street, where the commission's new center is located.

In its first year, in 1992, the president was Pere Vicent Pérez Macià, the older fallera Mónica Mena Larrosa and the child positions, Agueda Peñarruvia Larrosa and Alberto Bofí Casal.
