The Darrere del Castell fault was born in 1989 to become the ninth of Dénia's faults. However, in the beginning they were denied the name, so it was baptized only as Darrere.
Next you have an index with all the points that we are going to deal with.
History
It is the failure "from the outskirts", the one that fought to have its name admitted and the one that revolutionized the parties with brave decisions. The history of the Darrere del Castell fault is long, although it is not the oldest.
First commission
With their arrival, the failures from Dénia added nine. It was the year 1989 and a large group of friends (in the first exercise there were 42 falleros and falleras) were encouraged to carry out a new commission, a fallero district at that time on the outskirts of the city, in the industrial zone.
Choice of name: battle for "Castell"
What these enthusiastic falleros entrepreneurs did not know would be that they were going to put so many obstacles to denominate the newly created commission. His proposal, including the "del Castell", was rejected by the assembly of the Local Board Fallera, going on to be called in its beginnings simply Darrere. In the 1995-1996 financial year, the fault was finally recognized as Darrere del Castell, the name by which it is still known today.
First woman President of the Fallas de Dénia
In the year 2007, the Darrere del Castell failure made history by becoming the first commission of Dénia was confident woman for the office of president, the faller Tere Vallalta, who repeated over years later, coinciding with the 25 anniversary of the Commission .
Location
Currently, the fault has changed location. It has gone from being planted in the middle of Avenida de las Industrias (now Miguel Hernández Avenue) to being planted since 2007 at the intersection of streets Xàbia and Miraflor.
