The mythical 'springboard', reason why Dénia has lost the blue flag in Les Rotes

May 10 from 2017 - 14: 06

The mythical wooden trampoline that since the 30s of the last century is installed on the beach of Les Rotes of Dénia has been the reason why the beach in the south of the city has been denied the Blue flag achieved last year.

This has been communicated to the City Council in a letter, in which no reason is not specified in particular beyond that denial comes in the wake of this structure which, curiously, already existed when last year if it was granted the badge.

Dénia Mayor and Councilor for Tourism, Vicent GrimaltI was shown surprised by the decision, although it states that, if the subject is put forward, there is concern about not having blue flag in Les Rotes. In this regard, Grimalt said it would have been really worrying if the problem had settled on the water quality or services offered in the area, nonexistent reasons in denial of this blue flag.

It is recalled that Dénia has revalidated four of the five blue flags this year requested.

Very simple, the trampoline does not meet safety conditions, it is simply a slippery table. Take note of Mallorca, all clean and tidy and floating platforms located 200 meters from the shore, new, safe and maintained. On the other hand the area is not always maintained.
