The Dénia City Council has approved, by majority, in today's extraordinary plenary session the beginning of the contracting file for the cleaning and maintenance service of beaches Township. The decision had the favorable votes of PSPV, Compromís y Gent of Dénia, the negative vote of Vox and the abstention of Party.
La new tender, with a value of 11,5 million euros, including VAT, and a validity of 10 years, presents notable changes with respect to the previous contract, signed in 2013 for a value of 8 million euros.
Among the most notable modifications to the specifications is the significant increase in the tender price, as well as the obligation for the winning company to build a posidonia treatment plant and a warehouse for the service machinery. This infrastructure will be located in the Estanyó Nord area, on the Llac Maracaibo street.
Another relevant change is the extension of the high season by fifteen days, which will now begin on June 1 and extend until September 30. This means that the intensive beach cleaning service will be activated earlier than usual.
