If 2019 was going to be a special election year, now we know it will be even more so. On Sunday, 14 in April, the falleros and falleras over 18 years and counted in this exercise have an appointment at the polls to elect the new president of the Local Board Fallera Denia.
Juan Salvador Pérez Pegaso will face José Antonio Monsonís, who presented his candidacy for the presidency this Wednesday, the last day of the term. Monsonís, a fallero from Les Roques, already held the position of president of the Local Fallera Board of Dénia between 2015 and 2017.
This will be the first vote to elect the president of the Fallera Local Board since the change of regulations, in the 2007 year. The presentation of the second candidacy ensures the holding of elections, but the deadline is open until midnight on Wednesday, April 3.
