The current mayor of Dénia, the socialist Vicent Grimalt, has been ratified as a candidate for mayor of Dénia in the elections of 2019 by the PSPV-PSOE.
The socialist candidate has been excited about the appointment and has stressed that "In these three years we have shown that with a great team we are able to reduce municipal debt with savings measures, implement innovative youth policies, transform the city by recovering it for people, be an international reference in gastronomy from protection of our rich cultural heritage; in short, being able to comply with our government program ".
Grimalt has stated that "I present to the re-election in the mayor's office with the same enthusiasm, commitment and desire to work for Dénia than in May of 2015, aware that there are many challenges that lie ahead; challenges that we will be able to face with the help of the great team that forms the Socialist Association of Dénia ".
Grimalt's designation as a candidate was ratified at the Dénia PSPV-PSOE Local Executive Commission held on the night of Tuesday, October 2. The secretary of organization of the PSPV-PSOE of Dénia, Raúl García de la Reina, informed that at the end of October or the beginning of November an assembly will be held to inform the entire militancy of the designation of Vicent Grimalt as a socialist candidate for Mayor in 2019.
