La Facing the association Edging has launched its annual program "Enjoying Summer 2023", offering a variety of inclusive activities for people with different abilities in Dénia. The objective of this program is to promote personal autonomy and provide respite to the families of the participants.
The program, which will take place during the months of July and August, will continue the activities carried out throughout the year. More than 50 people with different abilities and ages, users of the association, will participate in the activities, together with volunteers and 10 workers, six of them with disabilities.
The program offers various options to enjoy the summer in an inclusive way. He team work It will focus on adapted sports activities and the development of manual and social skills, taking place at the IES Maria Ibars from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 a.m. to 13:30 p.m.
In addition, services are offered bath adapted in the Aqualia facilities and on the beach Punta del Raset, which will allow users in wheelchairs and those with greater autonomy to enjoy refreshing moments.
For nature lovers, the program includes Hiking through different points of Dénia, such as the greenway y the Montgo, and breathes weekend.
This project is possible thanks to the collaboration of entities such as the Dénia City Council, the Marqués de Dos Aguas Foundation and various individuals committed to inclusion.
