Environmental workshops in the house of Iryda

Councilman Environment, Juan Carlos Signes, presented yesterday a series of environmental workshops that will take place on Saturdays in May at the Iryda Forest House (Colonia Road, 200 meters before reaching Pare Pere).

The workshops will focus on different themes such as invasive plants, Mediterranean garden, organic gardening novice or hiking.

On Saturday May 5 there will be an excursion to the Jardí de l'Albarda (donation of 3 euros) to talk about exotic plants and the importance of the Mediterranean garden.

The morning of Saturday 12 of May the theme will be the family and ecological gardens. This workshop will continue on Saturday 19 with a practical part. Saturday May 26 will be time of hiking with a route through the Cova del Aigua.

Registration is free and can be made until Thursday before each workshop on email mediambient@ayto-denia.es. For more information please call 96 646 70 61 12 to 14 of hours.

For its part, CREAMA Dénia has organized a hiking workshop of a total of 25 hours that will be held in the same place on Monday 21 and Thursday 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and from 16:30 p.m. to 19:30 p.m. To participate in this workshop, registration must be made at the offices of CREAMA Dénia, on Calle 9 d'Octubre.
