The mayors of Podemos in Dénia, Julio Palacios and Alex Roderkirchen, have positively valued the proposal of the General Structural Plan that during these days, and until the 28 of December, is in the public exhibition phase in the City Hall of Dénia.
Palacios considers that the proposal "It offers some basic approaches to the city model for the next twenty years and ends with the threat of out-of-control urban planning and predator of the territory". For the councilor of the purple formation, "the PGE is also a rigorous instrument and a very good starting point for the future detailed management of the municipality".
In this sense, Palacios considers that "Limiting growth, protecting the environment and improving transport infrastructure are three fundamental demands addressed in this proposal", although it encourages citizens to participate in the workshops organized by the government team because "Everything is susceptible to improvement and we consider citizen participation very important. After so many years of urban chaos, we can finally guarantee a city model appropriate to the expected growth, to our environment and economy, compatible with our resources and that represents the interests of all and not just a few ".
