The Moors and Christians festivities began "proclaiming"

On Friday afternoon the neighbors, neighbors, festive, festive and visitors Dénia, gathered in the Plaza del Consell to attend the opening speech giving the go-ahead to the holidays Moors and Christians.

Responsible for giving by begun the celebrations was our colleague Celia Marín, linked to the world party directly with failures and indirectly with the Moors and Christians.

Celia began her speech in a serious and solemn way, until suddenly she was interrupted by the musicians, and was "forced" to change the tone of the proclamation. With a selfie included from the stage, Marín analyzed the party from three points of view: public, journalist and party lover, and had a special memory for his father, José Marín, of whom he said instilled in her and her sister their love for the party

The announcer encouraged those present to post photos and tweets of the moment with the hashtag #pregoneando and joked with the councilors present, challenging them to see who was getting the most I like in photos posted on social networks.

Josele Maldonado, president of the Federation of Moors and Christians, handed over a commemorative picture to the proclaimer and, after imposing bows on the banners of the Moravian and Christian captaincies, addressed the public and the festive.

Maldonado compared the party with a recipe in which each person was an important ingredient and concluded that the work among all is what enriches the party. Then he asked the mayor the keys of the city to fill holiday during these days and promised "return it in the same state in which I receive it".

The mayor gave in to the petition and handed over the keys to the president and the captains to make "good use of them and good party."

The event ended with the raising of standards of both sides, some banners that remain in the Plaza del Consell until next August 16.
