The 16 routes to discover the landscapes of Dénia this summer

The Dénia Town Hall, through the Ecological Transition area, has organized for the months of July and August a new edition of the offer of environmental itineraries through Dénia and the mountain populations of the Marina Alta Discover the landscapes of Dénia.

Between July 19 and August 11, there will be a total of 16 outings in the form of walks of moderate or medium difficulty, to introduce residents and visitors to varied landscapes and corners without excessive travel. This offer values ​​the discovery of the nearby natural environment as a tourist attraction with tours of the greenway, Bassetes park and beach, rocky coast of Les Rotes, Montgó Natural Park and Cova de l'Aigua, the Marjal Natural Park, the Mediterranean garden of l'Albarda, the surroundings of Jesús Pobre and the Mercat del Riu rau, nighttime astronomical observation and the mountain paths in the Vall de Laguar.

As a novelty, this year the number of days for astronomical observation is increased to two, given the demand for this activity last summer. On the nights of July 26 and 28, three high-resolution telescopes will be installed at a point of minimal light pollution, thanks to the collaboration of the Marina Alta Astronomical Association (AAMA), whose members will give the appropriate explanations.

To participate, it will be necessary to pre-register, with the deadline being one o'clock on the day before the excursion (if the excursion is on Sunday, the pre-registration will take place before 13:XNUMX p.m. on Friday).

Places are limited, so reservations must be made by mail. deniaviva@ayto-denia.es, indicating the name, age and a contact telephone number of the people who attend. Anyone over the age of 7 can participate. Participants are recommended to bring a cap, a backpack with water, mountain shoes and a flashlight on night outings.
