The band pays homage to the patron saint of Denia with a spectacular concert

09 July 2015 - 11: 25

Traditions must be followed, and when it comes to music and parties, there is no excuse. That was what the Dénia Musical Artistic Association did, which, in keeping with tradition, offered one of its most important concerts of the year to end the day of the Sang Santíssima in Dénia.

Led by Frank de Vuyst, members of the band gave a concert Dénia divided into two parts: the first interpreted the pasodoble DéniaBy Francisco Amat, dedicated to Agrupació Musical Art; OdysseyBy James Curnow and Chinese Children's Song Symphonic Convention, by the composer of Carcaixent Jesús Santandreu.

In the second part the characters were two pieces: A Vikings Tale, by Kevin Houben, a story that mixes fantasy and reality based on the story of the castle from Gelmel, in Hoogstraten (Belgium); Y Hannibal, Mario Bürki, a spectacular piece of which we already enjoy in the concert of Santa Cecilia. Curiously, when the band was playing this piece was light and had to stop playing, but after a few minutes the mishap was solved and could finish to interpret this work. Before concluding, they delighted the large audience with a paso doble.
