El Party de Dénia will present a motion to the plenary session this Thursday for the municipality to adhere to the Mediterranean Health and Diet Agency, a scientific committee made up of national specialists in fields such as medicine, nutrition or chemical sciences. This committee was born after the signing of an agreement between the Provincial Council of Alicante and the Chamber of Commerce of the Province, and establishes a total of 75.000 euros of subsidy for different Alicante municipalities.
That is why the Dianense PP, consider that it is a good opportunity for Dénia as Creative City of Gastronomy the access to this help to promote the Mediterranean diet and local products, making them more attractive for tourism.
The popular spokesman, María MutSays that membership of this committee will allow Dénia "the development and participation in actions aimed at the dissemination of the benefits of the Mediterranean diet and its healthy lifestyle habits, as well as the promotion of this asset as a differentiating tourist element".
