The landing place is on the beach of the old Saladino

After many years of celebrating the first act of the big days of the festivities of Moors and Christians of Dénia in one or another location, it seems that finally, in 2016, the perfect place for your celebration has been found. The proposal was risky, but from the FEMMICC they wanted to bet heavily on this act, one of the ones that needed the most care from the festival program. And the result was more than positive. the beach of the Punta del Raset, in the place where the Saladino, has become the perfect place for the celebration of this act.

This location allowed thousands of people to enjoy the act along the promenade and even from within the water, opening the Landing to the citizens. And to this detail we must add the spectacle that was made, with an entry of horses announcing the arrival of the Moorish troops on the beach followed by a battle between the warriors of both sides to defend the interests of their captains.

Christian captain Quique Arbona, with his standard bearer, Ada Arbona, received the news from the mouth of his ambassador, to negotiate with its Moorish namesake before the arrival of the Moorish captain, Angel Vives, and its standard bearer, Maria Dénia. Finally, he was the president of the FEMMICC, Miguel Ángel Fullana, in charge of reading the letter that later would sign the captains decreeing the truce between the two sides.
