Minister Arcadi Spain visits Dénia to learn about the damage caused by DANA

The Minister of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility, Arcadi Spain, visited Dénia last night to see first-hand the damage caused by the cold drop in the town. Accompanied by the mayor, Vicent Grimalt and councilors of the city council, Spain visited the Municipal Sports Center, one of the most affected infrastructures because of DANA and tornado that destroyed part of the facilities.

The Minister said that luckily, in the Community there is no need to regret personal injury, "You can recover an infrastructure but not the lives of people, so maximum caution in the following hours, and the situation can worsen and avoid taking the car."

Arcadi Spain showed its support for all the emergency services that work in the hundreds of damages caused by this storm and indicated that "At the end of the DANA, an exhaustive assessment will be made of all the damages, incidents, infrastructures affected by the storm to take the appropriate measures to carry out."

Upon declaring the catastrophic zone, the Minister has maintained that until all the valuations of the damages produced are not finalized, it cannot be determined whether or not it will be declared or if it will be by municipality or autonomous in general.

For his part, the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, has explained the options that the City Council is considering in terms of the temporary relocation of sports activities and with regard to the reconstruction or construction of new facilities.
