Compromís per Dénia recovers its proposal to build a car park on the TRAM station

29 March 2023 - 12: 44

Compromís per Dénia recovers in this electoral period its proposal from the previous 2019-2023 campaign to install a new parking area on the tracks of the TRAM station. This, they say, "is to make up for the existing parking deficit in the center of Dénia."

The proposal is presented as a requirement to prioritize pedestrians in downtown redevelopment. Carrió recalled that "in 2019 we were in favor of making the urban center for people, but only with efficient parking and public transport alternatives".

In this sense, Carrió has pointed out that "we believe it is necessary to recover the 2019 proposal to build a public parking area at various heights on the tracks of the Tram Station, with the aim of offering alternatives to the existing pedestrianization and that dissuasive parking lots of the government team have not solved ».

Differentiating from the project presented a few days ago by the Party, Carrió has said that "we continue betting to have the final intermodal bus station, where it is already provided for in the General Plan, and not in the center of Dénia." However, the candidate has influenced that "we continue to propose a bus line that passes through the center of Dénia, as we specified to the government team in the Urban Transport Project and it did not integrate."

The high-rise car park would house some 200 spaces for each floor and up to 5 or 6 would be built, taking advantage of a space dedicated to mobility. Therefore, the way to make it more beneficial and with citizen participation mechanisms would be negotiated with the Department.

Likewise, Compromís would take the opportunity to create an authentic central green area in the current parking lot behind the Costa Blanca hotel, a space, in fact, legally cataloged as such. On the other hand, they also propose redeveloping the Paseo del Saladar with the expansion of sidewalks. "We want to make the streets and public squares of Dénia friendly and for people, but without giving up providing a solution to the lack of parking," Carrió finally indicated.

No one here has thought about a generalized, comprehensive urban project.
I can think of a parking lot, I put it above the tracks, a FP center, I put it in the port because they are going to study ship mechanics, a bus station, well, where there is a parking lot now.
Gentlemen, this is nonsense from head to toe.
I think there are plots with many meters that are in the center of Denia that can perfectly be transformed into a cinema and an auditorium. In Miguel Hernández, by Joan Fuster. There are better locations to do all these types of buildings.
But now that there are elections, it is necessary to offer all kinds of proposals to win votes, it does not matter which party the proposal comes from, and that is not thinking about the citizenry, but about the pocket of each one who aspires to political office and then does not nothing.

    Dear Ignatius.
We have a mayor who does not use spaces well, nationalists proposing nonsense and an opportunistic opposition.
    Something must be done.
From Izquierda Democrática we propose a radical change for Dénia.
And yes, we need a Shopping Center, an Auditorium Theater and a Boulevard on Calle La Vía.
All this would bring income to the city and reactivate trade.
It would also put an end to one of the most demanded neighborhood problems: the lack of a cinema.
I encourage you to join the initiative and support the projects we contribute.
    regards

Note that they already promised it in the legislature from 2019 to 2023.
Now they promise it again…..I swear…..they have added

Well, the information is with images included in Denia.com.

    Sad, very sad.

Think, this is not a good idea or good publicity for a campaign.
These days there are proposals to build a bus station, it is necessary, but we must work where to locate it to give users accessibility and not congest Denia's traffic anymore.
A parking lot on the tracks, claiming that there is little parking capacity, but at the same time it is proposed to remove parking to make a FP center in the vicinity of Balesria.
    Unheard of proposals.
Please, an urban and infrastructure reorganization, of whatever degree, must be studied as a whole and have a plan for the future. Regardless of electoral proposals, whatever party they are.
The day after an election, the proposals must be fulfilled and therefore they must be achievable and at least not harm the citizens or the return.
If you walk through the streets of the town you will see fallen facades, works that have been stopped for years, they seem abandoned, traffic jams, cables hanging in a disorganized way from the facades, an imbalance between landscaped areas in certain neighborhoods…etc.
Where is Denia staying beautiful and comfortable to live?
Sit down and plan the Denia of the future, beyond the electoral periods. We will appreciate it.

A FP center in the vicinity of Balearia where there is currently a car park? Where have you read that?
In this article it says that where the current parking lot is next to the Costa Blanca hotel, they would make a green area. I already said in another comment that this plot has to be converted into a green area sooner or later, since its transfer was conditional on that.
They also discuss it in this article.
In any case, for the first time I see several political groups worrying about a parking lot. Let's see if they do something about one.

    • Ignacio says:

The FP Center would be for the maritime sector and therefore the location. Don't you want people to train in a sector other than Tourism? Don't you want companies and work to be created beyond Tourism? What is a training building? And? In Denia you live, study and work like in any other city. Or do they want it to be like Marina d'Or? Now we are going to have to pretend that our life is to be a decoration of a Tourist Theme Park.

  6. Dani says:

Now come the ideas (Wacky) and the promises (that they won't keep).
    No way.
    I would propose:
The Bus Station in Miguel Hernández, a Shopping Center in the trenet parking lot, an Auditorium Theater where they want to do the "Gent de la Mar" and the Fester Museum in the Casa de la Duquesa and the extension of the ethnological museum in the "Magatzem dels Anglesos».

You have to vote for the Communist Party.
Only then will we have something different from all the slop out there.

    • Jopelin says:

Here is a little character who calls everyone slop, not realizing that logically he is the slop and redneck

      • Ignacio says:

I think he's just a troll. That thing about voting for the Communist Party and then praising the construction of Opera Houses, Auditoriums, Shopping Centers and such….is funny.

    What do they smoke?

  8. Luis says:

What comes to be a: Pepa Font our parking lot is going to be bigger than yours, chincha, chincha, chiiiiiincha... But has no one talked about providing services and shade to the bus station that they mounted upside down? They still want us to end up like the Indians squatting while we watch the trains and buses go by. What service do they intend to give tourists a bucket of water?
