The current councilor of Podemos in the City of Dénia, Álex Rodenkirchen, is presented for the first time to the mayor of Dénia next May 26. After being elected by the assembly of Podemos, Rodenkirchen, a lawyer by profession, faces this new challenge and trusts that citizens will "lend" Your vote for the next four years.
Make an assessment of the legislature that ends
I found a legislature riddled with ups and downs. It is true that some improvements have been made in the city, but also that other very relevant issues have been extremely neglected.
The cleaning of Dénia during these four years has been deficient, and they have turned back to pharaonic constructions, many of them lacking, leaving aside those small measures that interest citizens so much (state of sidewalks, a major step in politics social, works in summer) ... remember that we can in the year 2017 in a plenary requested that they not be done, we were alone and finally in the summer of 2018 chaos arose seriously damaging the small and medium business, the transparency portal is impractical, citizen participation measures have not been effective, the land bank project has been unusable, as we have already said, and the Dianense suburb remains abandoned.
On the other hand, unlike the rest of the opposition parties, Podemos adopted the position of carrying out a constructive policy (what is good is said and that what is wrong is criticized by providing an alternative proposal).
In any case I must recognize the accessibility and good treatment of the mayor and his team.
How would Dénia change in the event that you govern?
We propose more than 100 important and above all viable measures, 15 of them of an urgent nature. We have been walking 4 street for years, where the politician must really be, collecting demands to solve them.
It is true that the gastronomic city and the prawn of Dénia should be given importance, but Dénia is much more, it is necessary to prioritize the needs of the PEOPLE, and to support the small and medium businessman. Dénia is not only Marqués de Campo, Dénia has a beach (but it must be able to offer minimum services), Dénia has a mountain, Dénia has an outskirts, Dénia has more disadvantaged neighborhoods ...
I would like Dénia to be for everyone, and for real solutions to be given to ordinary citizens. We politicians must listen to the citizen and try to solve in the most diligent way possible any question that may arise.
What are the main strategic lines of your government program?
As stated in our program, which was voted unanimously in the assembly, it covers 10 areas:
- Neighborhood proposals
- Ecology and sustainability
- Food sovereignty
- Water control
- Feminism and equality
- Education and culture
- Social welfare
And, specifically, what would be your first action after taking possession of the mayor's office?
We do not have a "star" proposal, we would focus on the fifteen urgent points and we would like to raise the possibility that the parties that are in the opposition have special delegations. We consider that there is an opposition, without responsibility or possibility of being able to contribute, is to waste the opportunity for other people who have also been voted to contribute their bit.
What differentiates you from the rest of the candidates?
I do not like confrontation and I do not see fit to discredit any comrade as usual. Also in Podemos we do not talk about "me" but "we", and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the compañer @ s for the enormous effort, dedication and unity they are showing, I feel surrounded by great people .
Do you think that the results of the general and regional elections can be extrapolated to the municipal elections?
If this were the case we would be the third most voted political force (almost second), thus obtaining a considerable number of councilors, but at the municipal level ... I honestly do not know, we lack the economic means to conduct surveys but there is a good vibration, and the feeling of people on the street is very positive.
In what margin of councilors would its success or electoral failure?
It is very relative, we go out to win, despite not having the means available to large parties. We are not financed by banks or private companies, we do not owe anything to anyone, nor do we want to. Success? Failure? I imagine you want to talk about numbers, failure would not get any councilman, and successfully overcome the two that we already have.
What message would you like to send to the public?
I'm going to be very clear, we do not go out to the streets to ask for a vote, we just ask for an opportunity, THAT THE 4 YEARS VOTE, and being the maximum responsible if I do not comply with the program and / or pact I could carry out, NEVER MORE VOTE.
