Vandalism: spilled white paint on the newly opened asphalt street San Francisco

18 July 2018 - 06: 35

It is not yet open to traffic and has already been "opened". On Tuesday morning, the residents of San Francisco Street found an unpleasant surprise at the top of the road, closed to traffic for works. Apparently, at dawn, someone has dedicated himself to spilling a can of paint from the door of the Castle to the south side of the street.

The workers who work these days in the redevelopment of the road have tried to clean the stains that have appeared both in San Francisco and Salt Street, but the paint had already dried and it has not been possible.

The boat from which they have spilled the paint has appeared inside a water container of the own work, that they have also overturned along the street.

The works were scheduled to be completed last Sunday, 15 in July, but finally the first week of August will be finished. The street lighting is still installed and the street is still closed to traffic, although it has enabled the passage of the assembly vehicles from the stage of Music to the Castell, since the concerts begin this Thursday.

The redevelopment works of San Francisco Street began last January. They have had a cost of 338.189,69 euros under the Productive Investment Plan of the Generalitat Valenciana, former Plan Confianza.

And how have they had access to the bucket of water and paint of the same work? Is the material available to anyone in the street? And how do you know that the workers themselves have not been? There are some who do not distinguish themselves because they are very scrupulous in their work, rather because they are quite sloppy and dirty. Seeing how the finished works leave with all the abandoned material in the next plot, in any open space or the first hole they find.

I propose that cameras be installed in the streets.
You have to catch them and pay for what they have done.
We pay this all with our taxes and there is no right that these "dumb" destroy it.

    • Manuel says:

The cameras could also be installed at all points where construction material, pruning and garbage are thrown illegally. The fields look like dumps as well as the shoulders of the roads. But I suppose they consider it normal here. Civics is a very evolved thing for very smart people, right?
