A book about traditional games, Bernat Capó prize 2011

A què Juguem? Els jocs nostres i Joguets tradicionals, of Francesc Gisbert, this year has been raised with the Premi Bernat Capó of diffusion of popular culture, which was delivered on Friday night at an event held at the Social Center of Denia.

Mª Josep Poquet was in charge of conducting the act, in which the Jove Orquestra de la Marina Alta, who enlivened the gala by performing various pieces throughout the night.

Joan Seguí, director of the Museu Valencià d'Etnologia, Núria Sendra, of Edicions el Bullent, and Bernat Capó himself highlighted the importance of culture in society, as well as the role of these awards celebrating thirteen editions.

This year's winner, Francesc Gisbert, thanked the prize -which he also received at 2007- and warned that, even if we grow older, we should not forget to play, and that is the intention of his book. Gisbert will receive 6.000 euros and the publication of his work thanks to the Editorial El Bullent.
