Raül Oliver exceeds the Desafio de los Castillos: 235 42 km in hours

Beniarbeig athlete Raül Oliver exceeded Castles Challenge. And it has done with a note, improving the expected time and increasing the initial kilometers. The adventure began on Friday night in the Torre de la Horadada, from where he left with the only company of a support car they were traveling his father and fellow Quique work.

The first 50 kilometers were very comfortable for this athlete, who was geolocated and marking 5,5 a very high pace, which made him gain time and reduce commuting hours. In the 6 Saturday morning he had already completed the first 100 kilometers of this challenge.

With the support car radio marking him the route to follow, Raül followed the normal path until 10 morning when her legs buckled and suffered the first drop in this adventure. The stretch between Santa Pola and Alicante was the most complicated, but reaching the capital of the province, our hero regained strength.

Saturday night was the most complicated. Around the 1 in the morning the expedition came to Benidorm, where they decided to stop to rest, because his body was very swollen and sore. After this break, Raül renewed his forces and made a new stop in Calpe, and since then, without stopping to Denia.

In the 18: 00 hours on Sunday, just as the doors closed Dénia Castle and three hours ahead of schedule, Raül Oliver completed his challenge, a total of 235 kilometers behind that toured almost continuously in 42 hours. An unforgettable challenge that adds to the sporting challenges that this county athlete has been making increasingly illusion.
