Plants with flowers in the windows of Les Roques to beautify the neighborhood

February 11 from 2019 - 00: 53

The City of Dénia has proposed to residents of the neighborhood of Les Roques a curious initiative to beautify one of the most visited places by tourists.

The councilman of the neighborhood, Paco Roselló, and the mayor of Dénia, who also attended the meeting with the neighbors, proposed to improve the aesthetics of the streets by placing flower plants on the facades of the houses. The City Council would provide the plants and supports for its installation, and the neighbors would be responsible for their care.

The neighbors who attended were in agreement with this initiative, which would initially be implemented in San Francisco Street, which accesses the Dénia Castle. Now, the City Council must study the best way to install the planters and move the final proposal to the neighbors of the street.

A good initiative - having visited a number of historic Spanish towns the use of effective planting can greatly enhance an area at a relatively low cost. In fact it would be good to see this initiative taken up more widely in the near future.
