Honors of the first days of the Riurau Film Festival

With less than half the usual capacity and all the precautionary measures activated, the 4th Edition of the RIURAU Film Festival in Jesús Pobre began last Friday, September 9, followed by the two days on Saturday and Sunday in the Torrecremada gardens in Denia. The separation of the chairs did nothing but unite the best cinema audience in the region that has so far enjoyed great short films among which 11 awards and two special mentions have already been distributed, in the middle of the show, among them that of the Best City of Dénia Short Film Direction, which was delivered on Saturday to Max Lemke for "Best Seller", and which traveled to Dénia from Madrid to collect a well-deserved award starring an excellent Malena Alterio.

On Sunday, Denia's Drive In Drive In and the figure of Carles Miralles were also honored, who came to collect his statuette with the news of a recently arrived grandson. His daily contribution to cinema for forty years, being a pioneer of drive-ins in Spain and the family involvement of several generations is invaluable.

At the same time, over the weekend two conferences were held in Jesús Pobre: ​​on "Videodansa per a Profans" by Rafael Arnal and on "Gypsy Homosexuality and Transsexuality" with Lydia Na, M. Torres Carmona and Carlos Lamm. And in Denia the "VII International Dansa Film Meeting", in which speakers from the Polytechnic Universities of Valencia, Murcia and Zaragoza have participated.
