A total of 50 companies and services in Dénia have renewed their commitment to quality tourism and excellent service this morning in the castle of Dénia, where they have collected the Sicted (Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destinations) distinctions from the general director of Turisme, Raquel Huete.
The distinctive Sicted is a project to improve the quality of tourist destinations that recognizes the excellence of public and private services and that associate the image of the destination with quality. This was explained by Huete during his speech, in which he said that Dénia is an example of how to do things in the tourist sector for the Generalitat Valenciana.
Raquel Huete has been specially directed to the attending businessmen to remind them that "tourism we are all", So the tourist quality is extended to all sectors of society. It is worth remembering that Dénia is the fourth destination with more recognized companies, after Valencia, Alicante and Orihuela.
For its part, the mayor and councilor of tourism, Vicent Grimalt, recalled that the distinctive Sicted "consolidates Dénia as a more humane and competitive destination".
Also recognized companies have taken the floor. The hotel Noguera Mar has ensured that with this recognition they commit themselves to "continue to give prosperity to this symbol". For its part, the rental company Quality Rent a Villa Has stressed that this seal "demonstrates the seriousness and professionalism". A representative of the Restaurant El Marino Has ensured that this is a "common project to take Dénia to have a quality tourism and that citizens feel proud of their companies".

Fortunately, the private sector, entrepreneurs and merchants, have moved and washed the face of the people, caring and beautifying their establishments and surroundings. But it is laughable to believe that we deserve the distinction of tourist excellence. We do not have infrastructures and also much of the hotel staff should receive more training to be more professional. We only have the potential to be a typical village surrounded by natural charm. Potential that could be handled much better.

Claro Dénia is touristy and has an important »beach capital» but a lack of coastal planning and cleanliness. It's a shame.
