The Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Dénia has convened, next Thursday 27 June, a demonstration in the center of the city to protest against the increases in taxes and fees in Dénia.
The neighbors are summoned to the 20 hours at the end of Marqués de Campo (opposite the Red Cross) and will cross the main Dianense artery, the street Cop and they will arrive at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
Tomorrow, Friday, they will collect signatures at the Mercat Municipal and the La Vía street trail, and on Saturday they will do the same at the exit of the Paseo del Saladar supermarket. In addition, during these days, they are informing the neighbors of the Montgó through letters in the mailboxes of their movements and reasons.
These are some of the protest measures against "abusive" increases in local taxes and fees. Among other things, the neighbors do not forget that in 2012 the IBI rose 28% and in 2013 it fell 5%, the same year in which a new rate appeared: that of sewerage.
In this regard, the Federation of Neighbors wonders if the homes that are not currently connected to the sewer but will have to be within a period of 5 years must pay the fee, in addition to highlighting the "exaggeration" of the variable part of the rate .
The Federation denounces that "taxes and rates go up, but services don't improve". Therefore, they call on all citizens to take to the streets next Thursday 27 in protest of the measures being taken by the local government.

If you do not agree with the permanent rise in taxes and fees, if you are concerned about the rate of sewerage (especially not connected to people with gardens and orchards, who will pay a variable part of that rate in relation to the actual consumption of the water and actually water goes for irrigation and not sewer), do not miss this manifestation. We have the possibility to demonstrate our solidarity and citizen awareness to defend our rights. If we are few, the administration will not pay much attention and will continue to manage everything in its own way.
