Korean players react after the landing of La Fallera Calavera in the country

January 24 from 2024 - 13: 44

A few months ago, the publishing house Zombi Paella by Enric Aguilar, a board game author born in Dénia, surprised with the announcement of the first translation into another language of his star game: La Fallera Calavera. And the surprise was not due to the lack of success of this card game, since it has already broken a thousand linguistic borders and has sold 130.000 units since the idea arose a decade ago. The curious thing about the case is that the first translation would not be into Spanish or English, but into Korean.

La Fallera Calavera is now a reality in South Korea, where a publisher, Popcorn Games, decided to take a risk and bet on such a Valencian game in which the main objective is to cook a traditional paella to calm the fury of a zombie fallera.

The Korean version retains all the characters and objects from the original game, but changes some names. Thus, the game will be called "zombie paella" and Monleon and the Monleonetes will be "the showman" and "the showgirls" respectively.

Now, thanks to a post shared on social networks on the official profile of La Fallera Calavera, we can see how the first Korean players who face Aguilar's cards react. Even though we can't understand what they're saying, they certainly seem enthusiastic.
