The original paintings by Josep Ros arrive at the Center d'Art l'Estació de Dénia

May 10 from 2019 - 13: 32

The very personal work of the Valencian painter Josep Ros is shown for the first time to the Dianense public in the exhibition Quan quan that hi veig clar which opens this afternoon at the Station Art Center. Twenty-two eight oil paintings in which the author does not intend to show images "kind or nice" and where "irony could be the common thread", all with the intention, declared by Ros, of "That people can have a dialogue with the works, even if they don't understand them".

Paintings based on poems such as the JV Foix that gives the title to the exhibition, but also on social and political events that have struck the artist, who believes in that link between art and the reality that surrounds us.

Josep Ros (Alcudia, Valencia, 1964) has a degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and in History of Art from the University of Valencia. Although he painted from the youth, he began to exhibit work just 10 years ago. He has worked for a long time in the world of scenography, which is reflected in his paintings in details such as the importance of the backgrounds of the compositions, the various plans in which the scene or the color used.

His works can be seen in the Center d'Art L'Estacio until June 23.
