The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports published this Tuesday, January 9, in the DOGV, the tender for the works of the Casa de la Marquesa Valero de Palma, on Cavallers street, which will allow this building to become the Museum from the city.
This is one of the projects included in the Plan Confianza and, if the deadlines are maintained, it could begin to be reformed in the month of May. From the Conselleria estimated a deadline for execution of the works of 8 months, so at the beginning of 2019 this project could be a reality.
Once the works are finished, the House of the Marquesa Valero de Palma, which for many years housed the premises of the Conservatory of Music, will become a multicultural center next to the Ethnological museum, forming the Museum of the City in the center of Dénia. The project is bid for 455.718,97 euros plus VAT.
In this way, the streets Cavallers and Sant Josep will become the epicenter of the Dianense culture: the Ethnological Museum will grow thanks to the reform of the house of the Marquesa, and the house of the Sant Josep street, now under construction, will house the archive municipality, an exhibition hall and a library, with the aim of relieving the current Municipal House of Culture, also headquarters of the UNED.
