Artisan, spoiled and made with love. So are the 45 pieces that make up the exhibition that opens this Friday, 19 April, at the Real Club Naútico de Dénia and reflect the overwhelming personality of its creator, the Javiense, but dianense of adoption, Amparo Mata.
Meninas at the Edge of the Sea is the return of Amparo Mata to free creation and without complexes. The creation that has led him to improvise designs through recycled materials, inspired by the great contemporary and historical artists, and capture, thanks to all of them, the result on meninas of different sizes.
During the last months, Amparo has been working carefully on this exhibition, the first one he has done after 12 for years. And it is that Amparo Mata is not new in this of the meninas. 15 years ago began working with them, giving them a life of their own and generating a "coexistence" between artist and work that has been with him since then.
This afternoon, from the 19: 30 hours, the works of Amparo will come to life in the Ramon Sahuquillo room of the Real Club Náutico de Dénia, a space open to the Mediterranean Sea that will host this exhibition until next Monday. On Saturday and Sunday, the exhibition can be visited from 11: 00 to 14: 00 hours and 18: 00 to 20: 30 hours and Monday 22 of April, from 11: 00 to 14: 00 hours. The exposed meninas will be for sale.
