The Fallero of Saladar Sergio Avargues will be the herald of the failures of Dénia 2024. This was announced this Monday by the president of the Local Board Fallera, Jaume Bertomeu, at the presentation of the poster for the Josephine festivities.
Sergio Avargues began his Falla career in 1993 in the Baix la Mar fails, and since 1996 he has been part of the Saladar commission. He has always had a deep passion for the world of fallaes, especially for floats and the presentations, which he considers, along with the falla itself, the most artistic part of the festival. So much so that this year he was in charge of the presentation of Candela Marco, Dénia's greatest child faller, and her court of honor.
The crier actively participates in the creation of falla librettos, which he considers "an area in which our people have improved notably, but we still need a firmer commitment from the fallera commissions in regards to this publication."
Faced with the challenge of addressing the Fallas world on February 17, Sergio states that "I would like to make a traditional prayer, where I can express and claim the new times that we live in and that await us. "I want us all to make this edition of the Dénia Fallas the best so far." However, the town crier believes "in the need for a decidedly renewing commitment to aesthetics and the projects that are planted in the streets during the months of March. The Fallas, in my view, should be contemporary in current times, with a critical, local vision and accessible to all citizens.

The name of the preacher of the Dénia Fallas has been announced during the presentation of the image of the festivities, which will be illustrated with a poster created by Jaume Mora, which includes the most recognizable elements of the Fallas festival.
