The story of Leon and Dénia, despite its remoteness, has two basic points of confluence. One in Roman times, in the late first century and another in the middle of the eleventh century. In its museums, preserve important objects that confirm the link both cities with Alexandria.

Denia has an important collection of Islamic bronzes Fatimid production in Egypt and the siriopalestina area, as well as ceramics from some ports of the long sea voyage, while the treasures from San Isidoro offer important objects of gold and Fatimid ivories, and splendid silks, which was one of the imported products that distill the sources of consolidated trade between Dénia and Alexandria; relations in which Ali himself was involved.

In León, the chalice of Doña Urraca is one of the key pieces, offering features that allow its relationship with the glass that the emir of Dénia moved.
