The gastronomic rock "The tasting" Saturday gave its annual award "Cata d'or 2014" the best restaurant visited during the last year by its components. This time the award went to the restaurant Tapes i Vins, La Xara, which valued the general atmosphere of the establishment and care of their staff and served product quality, quantity, warehouse and service, among others.
Chef David Castelló Ruíz received the award after serving a menu that covered the best dishes that have come from the establishment's kitchen, in which he integrated seasonal products from the area of the Marina Alta.
The gastronomic rock "The tasting" It was founded in 2012 by a group of friends who love good food and good drink every two months together at a restaurant in the region with the aim of publicizing and promoting the cuisine of the Marina Alta.
It is the "president of the day" in charge of organizing each dinner at the restaurant he chooses. In addition, among other gastronomic activities, they have promoted the visit to wineries such as Gutierrez de la Vega in Parcent, those of Vicente Gandía in Requena, or those of Enrique Mendoza in Alfaz del Pi.
