El Center d'Art L'Estacio he is about to say goodbye to one of the most important of which has hosted exhibitions in recent months. Antonio Cortis, tenor. 1891-1952. Prodigy Dénia It is a compendium of images and memories of the legendary tenor Dianense, a collection that have already visited more than 8.000 people.
The sample consists of more than 300 graphics resources related to the tenor, whose acquisition has been made possible by an intense year of work, visits to specialty stores across the country, and also the international market in Europe and America. Thanks to this great research, Dénia City Council has acquired a fund of municipal ownership of Antonio Cortis that would create a permanent exhibition on the international character of the story of Dénia.
Visitors to this exhibition in his last days will live a return to the past, since exposure not only collects objects related to the world of Tenor Cortis documents but recreates a piece of Dénia of the early twentieth century, that Dénia which the industry was passing wealth to their neighbors; Dénia that was connected with the whole country thanks to Carcaixent-Dénia railway line.
Since the exhibition opened last 24 March, there have been many individuals who have been interested in it, as well as school groups of schools in the city, who have known about the life and work of one of the dianenses most important of our recent history.
