In an effort to promote equality and diversity, the Department of Equality and Diversity has carried out a pioneering initiative in the Dénia Town Hall, installing the urban exhibition Planning LGTBI+ diversity, Art and Culture in the Constitution Square.
The sample, made up of four cubes of 1,80 meters by 1,80 meters, presents the artistic work of the creator Ondewol (Domingo Oller). In total, visitors can enjoy 16 collages that use artistic works from the History of Art to question and deconstruct norms and concepts associated with sexual orientation, gender and gender expression.
Among the exhibited pieces, the 15 illustrations that the artist previously made to illustrate the I Plan for Sexual Diversity of the Dénia City Council, Jesús Pobre and La Xara stand out, a valuable visual resource that seeks to promote inclusion and respect for diversity in the city . In addition, the artist has created especially for this exhibition a piece entitled Diana's proposal, which further enriches the fully LGTBI+ content of the sample.
The location in the Plaza de la Constitución allows this exhibition to be freely accessible to all citizens and visitors to Dénia. It will be available to the public until Sunday, August 6, giving those interested a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the artistic vision of Ondewol and the LGTBI+ theme from a cultural and inclusive perspective.
