Yesterday, Thursday, it was inaugurated in the House of Culture the exhibition «Dénia and the Navy. The colors of the 50s", aims to remember that time lived in the town through unpublished images of Carlos Perrón, a dentist whose hobby was photography and was able to portray Dianense society with a special touch: color.
In the exhibition you can see the most characteristic landscapes of the city, such as the urban ones, before modern buildings dominated the streets. Through the images you can see the white and brown colors that predominated at that time.
Carlos Perrón also portrayed the natural landscape of that decade and among his photographs you can see what they were like. Les Rotes, Marines o the Montgo. However, he did not stop appreciating the human factor and portrayed the inhabitants of the time and their customs.
The exhibition, organized by the Municipal Archive and which has the collaboration of Francesc Piera, can be visited until April 13 from Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. and from 17:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. free of charge.
