José Rafael Pérez Belenguer, better known as Petete, belonging to the fails Center, has been chosen this Wednesday night as an exemplary fallero of the failures Denia 2019.
The jury, gathered from the 20: 00 hours, I have chosen the Petete among the nine applications that have been presented this year. After the 21: 30 hours the president of the Local Board Fallera, José Vicente Benavente, made the call to the chosen one to give him the news.
Minutes later, the Exemplary Fallero arrived at the headquarters of the Local Board, where he received the congratulations of the jury and the Board of Directors. Petete acknowledged that he did not remember that the election was at that moment, and that he had been surprised by Benavente's call minutes before.
Petete is fallero since 26 years ago from the Centro fault, where he entered for a bet with a friend. From the first year he has held positions in the commission that have gone from Press Delegate to Treasurer. The third year in the commission received the Falla Medal, and was named president in the year of the fiftieth anniversary, 1998. He has also been a delegate of the Local Fallera Board for four years, and eight years president of the Falla Centro Association.
The exemplary faller of 2019 recognizes that he has a different vision of the faults, considering that it has to be a harmonic element of the town, and recognizes that the failure has helped him to meet many people.
Next Saturday, 23 in February, Petete will receive the tribute of Dénia's faults in the traditional Gala Soup that will be held at the El Poblet Salons.
