"Old Known", The latest album by actor and singer Fran Perea malagueño, begins his presentation tour. And to release the tour, the singer has chosen Dénia. We talked with him, full immersed in the preparation of the concert to be held in the Theater Auditorium of the Social Center on Tuesday, April 3 to 20: 30 hours.
Why did you choose to start your tour Dénia?
Because the Levante is an area where I have played a lot, and got the chance to do there, my manager asked me and I told him that I looked very well and as well is Easter, many people will Dénia for a few days and it was also an opportunity to start this musical project again.
A few years ago we, back in 2003, we had in Dénia What are your memories of that concert?
I have very good memories of that time, of Dénia and its surroundings, we were there a lot. Afterwards we were without touching much. When I presented that album we did some concerts, but it didn't give more time. I started to make a movie, then a theater performance ... But I have very good memories, and for me it has been one of the incentives to go to Dénia to celebrate it.
What have you changed musically since then?
I have quite changed. It was part of the soundtrack of a series in which I did many things but there were many other people's songs, and now I present my album with my songs. Musically there is a pretty interesting change, I feel more comfortable, safer.
You're a risky guy: you've self-produced the tour and you've created a record label, Nobemol, to keep going
I think you have to be the engine, not just wait for the record to come and offer you, or a production come and tell "Hey, we started with the tour". If things are bad, because you have to get down to work and work harder to make things. And I'm happy because I have a musician as well as my other work as an actor, if I produce not depend on anyone and I can get organized. If he had taken the disc with a record, maybe he could not have done the movie or the theater performance we both wanted to do. This way I can organize my schedule better.
Movie (From your window to mine), series in sight (Luna, the mystery of Calenca, 3 Antenna), you start touring ... Your thing is not to stop.
I'm a hard worker above all, and one lucky because I work on what I like. Right now I have a high volume of work and can not complain, really. But yes, the truth is that I could have been doing one thing, but I prefer to give activity to the tour, which is working for me but also for musicians who are with me and all the staff working in the production of concerts.
And focusing on the concert on Tuesday in Dénia: What will we see on stage?
You're going to see a very nice concert, plus you are going to witness a new acoustic format that is adapted to the auditoriums and theaters. It is a format much closer, the sound and lyrics predominate over everything else. I would like people to come to feel part of something unique, completely different sound that can be found on a disk, you have a feedbackWhen the public will go answering answering us.
