Interview with Javier Ruiz «Txin», about the new edition of «Art al Carrer»

20 July 2011 - 00: 00

With gray hair, glasses entreveer leave a relentless concern to improve the situation of artists. txin is one of the organizers of Art al Carrer and a founding member of ADAMA (Association of Artists of the Marina Alta). Punctually collaborates with Denia.com and thanks to him we can offer a much more specialized vision of the exhibitions and cultural events of our city.

Javier hello and thank you for your welcome. First we ask: What is Adama? What was intended to get a start? What has been achieved?

ADAMA grew out of concern especially a person, Javier Saldaña, currently has had to move to Madrid. He collected through Maribel Font a list of people who were exposed to locate people who have a concern about promoting culture here in Denia. That came this association and now, a year since our inception, is incorporated people and hope you will continue to integrate depending on the actions that we will progress.

What is the balance that you make of your first year?

Our letter was the Art al Carrer last year where we showed our art, in the middle of the street and as an exhibition. We believe it was a success of people. Everything went well except the subject of organizing something like that for the first time, we caught a bit of "linnets." But above all for the public, it was very nice.

From there, the concerns that have been showing for things have not been supported by institutions for lack of resources or money right now. Anyway we are still proposing to bring art to the street otherwise. An idea of collective union where everyone, even visitors of the exhibition can participate in a free mural. We intend people to be able to make art throughout the year, who knows where to go to make and show their art.

What new features will be introduced and what is to be maintained over the previous year Art al Carrer of 2011?

We will be based on the same idea: putting fences work with a black cloth to simulate walls. Since we want this year to be the prelude to create an art market will welcome all artists who make contact with the association from which you will manage Art al Carrer to avoid space problems.

This year we propose that art is not only teach but show live. It will come a person who will work pottery, people who will make restoration of works of art and maybe one person working the glass comes. Live painting is another issue because being at night need good lighting. In addition, the act of painting is a very intimate and not everyone is willing to work with the public thing.

What port Adama wants to get in the future?

As for the size of the association we know that is given by the interest of the people. What if we have clear is that we want to shape the focus of local culture. We want to have a place where you can create, display, doing workshops for children and give lectures. We understand that there confined areas that could be used in Dénia. The City Council tell us that any Hayles but do not !.

The approach of making at least one day a week market would be interesting for artists since, would enjoy a place to take a vermouth and enjoy the art.

Art al Carrer It will be held on Friday in the Plaza Mariana Pineda, from the 22 12 July to August.
