Enchanting memories and historical photographs make up the book of the 65 anniversary of the Banda de Dénia

A lot has happened since that June 25, 1952 in which the Musical Artistic Association of Dénia was established. More than 65 years of music, travel, personal relationships and the elevation of the Banda de Dénia as a reference for music in the Marina Alta and in the Valencian Community.

Last Sunday, and after months of hard work, the book of the 65 years of the Association was presented in society, a compendium of texts written by people related to the band, which deal with memories, sensations, achievements and conclusions of belonging to the musical group.

The current president of the Band, Josep Pastor, was accompanied for the presentation by one of the most recognized exponents of the history of the Band of Dénia, Pep Sendra, responsible, among other things, for the entry of women in the group and to bring music to dianenses schools. Next to them was also the mayor of Dénia, who is also a musician, Vicent Grimalt.

The book of the 65 years of the band has counted with the collaboration of many people who, both now and throughout this history have been in contact with the group. Fifty articles thanks to which the reader can discover what the family of the Banda de Dénia feels and has felt and has been coordinated by the journalist Rosa Ribes and the current secretary, Maite Agulles.
