Two arrested after defrauding thousands of euros with the scam of 'tocomocho' in Dénia

Agents of the National Police have arrested in Malaga a man and a woman - both of Spanish nationality - as allegedly responsible for a continuing crime of fraud. The investigated, specialists in swindling through the thymus of the tocomocho, they managed to defraud their victims a total of 14.100 euros. The investigations have allowed to clarify four facts committed in Alicante, Dénia, Murcia and Cartagena.

The investigation began in Alicante, following the complaint made to the National Police by a woman in which he claimed to have been the victim of a scam. Two people convinced him to keep a lottery ticket supposedly awarded in exchange for 4.000 euros that she gave them.

From this denunciation, the researchers managed to fully identify the authors of the denounced event. At the same time, and once the analysis of complaints of a similar nature by different points of the national territory was made, they found that these same people were behind three other facts -one committed in Dénia and two others, in the province of Murcia- with the that caused their victims an economic loss of 13.700 euros.

Continuing with the inquiries, given the itinerant nature of the authors of the act and that the last known address of one of them was in the province of Malaga, agents of this provincial police station took charge of their location and detention. Both men were arrested yesterday in Malaga as alleged perpetrators of a continuing crime of fraud.
