Dénia will have the first urban exhibition of LGTBI + content of its own elaboration and municipal ownership

From the Department of Equality and Diversity, work has been done on the development of the first urban exhibition with fully LGTBI + content belonging to the Dénia City Council. The installation of the exhibition Planning LGTBI+ diversity, Art and Culture in the Plaza de la Constitución will take place on Monday, July 17.

From this date and until Sunday, August 6, you can visit the four structures in the form of cubes 1,80 meters high and 1,80 meters wide with the images of the I Plan for Sexual Diversity of the Dénia City Council, Jesús Pobre and La Xara. In total, there are 16 illustrations by the artist Ondewol (stage name of Domingo Oller) where concepts such as sex, identities, sexual orientations and gender expression are constructed and deconstructed through the collage technique with recognizable works and elements for citizenship, challenging the public to embrace diversity.

The piece is added to the sample Diana's proposal, which has been expressly created for the Dénia exhibition. It is a collage in which the historical and natural heritage of the city is represented, from a perspective of diversity. All the works will be accompanied by a description of the piece in Spanish and Valencian and a QR code to access the text of the I Plan for Sexual Diversity of Dénia, La Xara i Jesús Pobre.

The intention of the exhibition, according to the Department of Equality and Diversity, is to project values ​​of diversity, equality, inclusion and social integration. This outdoor exhibition will be traveling and will be available for loan and exchange with all municipalities and entities that request it.
