Dénia will host the new culinary culture course of Turisme

Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, in collaboration with the Universitat Jaume I, the Universitat de València and the Universitat d'Alacant, has launched the I L'exquisit Mediterrani Specialization Course: Gastronomic Tourism and Culinary Culture of the Valencian Community.

The course is aimed at both active professionals and graduates university students to enhance gastronomic tourism by responding to the needs of specialization and professional qualification of the sector.

It will be taught in all the training centers of Turisme CV, with the aim of bringing training throughout the territory of the Valencian Community. Thus, this course will take place in Castelló, Morella, València, Gandia, Dénia, Benidorm, Alicante and Torrevieja.

This new course will have 100 training hours taught by university professors from different areas of knowledge, experts in gastronomic tourism and recognized professionals of prestige in gastronomy, tourism and the Valencian agri-food world.

It should be noted that this course is proposed from an approach that combines the theoretical content with 8 master class, 6 practical demonstrations, 3 workshops and 2 formative field visits.

The objectives of this course is to provide specialized knowledge about the Mediterranean culinary culture of the Valencian Community and its value in tourism.

During the course, the characteristics of the gastronomic landscape, the origin and value of the different tourist products of the local Mediterranean diet, the autochthonous culinary techniques and the transformation of food, the most representative recipes and the identity narrative of the culture will also be announced. material and immaterial in surrounds the gastronomy in the territory.

In addition, the domain of techniques and instruments will be acquired to enhance and develop quality, innovative, experiential and creative tourism products to attract and satisfy gastronomic tourists, as well as their market and commercialization.

The registration period for these courses is now open until the September 4.
