Crespo denounces an "indiscriminate" felling of trees in Les Rotes

26 July 2013 - 00: 00

The councilor of Compromís, Josep Crespo, has denounced the felling of trees that is taking place in a private plot of Les Rotes, where they have cut down around 40 pine trees in a house on Urano street. From Compromís they ask the government team to apply an exemplary sanction to the owners of the plot because it is a protected area and the felling of trees is prohibited in it.

More fire prevention in Montgó

Josep Crespo has also asked that there be no cuts in troops to prevent forest fires in the Montgo ahead of the summer campaign. Crespo demands that there be no cuts in cash and that the Generalitat invest in firebreaks and cleaning of ravines.

In addition, Crespo regrets that the Governing Board of the Montgó has not met so far this year and that last year it met only once. According to Crespo, the Board should meet more than once a year to boost the Natural Park and meet their real needs.

You are late, princess ……. How long does it take to cut down that many trees? I think that from the city council there should be a constant supervision of significant places, planning so that from urban planning a preventive control is made and that these situations are not repeated. And make the neighbors aware that when they are aware of these facts, act quickly.

and many more plots that you pass with the car and it is seen more clearly and with less pine trees ...

    Josep Crespo well and Compromis.

The Montgo is certainly a common good and must make a significant effort to protect it. And for those nameless 40 they have cut pine trees in protected area, an exemplary punishment, no more.
