Work begins to expand the sewer 1% of households without access to network

We have now known that about 235 homes will benefit in coming months from the expansion of the sewerage network of Denia, which is slightly less than 1% of the homes that are waiting for that connection. This was announced by Councilman water cycle, Vicente Chelet, in the presentation of two expansion projects for this network in the areas of Montgó and Marines.

Extension of the sewerage network in Dénia

As explained by the mayor, will perform at the Lletsó and Alzina streets in the Montgo area, where about 85 houses meet without connection to the sewer and street Ionian Sea Les Marines, where they have counted nearly 150 homes in this situation.

With this performance, they will carry out local companies according to the agreement signed in 2013 between the company managing the municipal sewage, aqualia, and the Builders Association and Companies Allied Dénia, residents of these two zones should be connected to the network .

These works will be financed jointly by the City Council and neighbors, although not yet established the percentage contributed by each party.

Currently being processed administratively projects to be approved by the Water Board, and is expected to commence in September with an estimated duration of a month.

Once the works are completed, residents will start paying the monthly sewer (which is around 3,5 euros) and must hire a home builder that connects the secondary branch to benefit from the network.

These two projects will serve as prototypes to study once pull up the works, and of these steps will be taken forward in the following expansion projects with which it is intended to reach those more than 20.000 homes offline in the coming years.
