Brigade DD: solitary confinement

February 10 from 2012 - 00: 00

Today we echo the complaint that Lumi Requejo left us in our Facebook page:

The residents of Camí Penya de l'Àguila have been incommunicado since Monday as a result of the works to create the public sewage network. We can only access our homes on foot, so we leave the vehicles every night where we find a place to park... We have been told that we will be like this for about 15 days. The neighbors know that the works are necessary, but we believe that they have not been planned since the road has two exits, one towards Dénia and the other towards the Montgo. In both directions you can reach Dénia, La Pedrera and Montgó, so we do not understand why the road has been closed to us so that we cannot drive to one side or the other. We are trapped in a mousetrap.

We are concerned about this situation, and much, mainly those who live in adjacent roads, such as giving access to our home. We have a neighbor with mobility problems leading and four days locked up at home because it is quite impossible to access it in a wheelchair. There is a very steep slope, as well as potholes and preduscos who have stopped along the way. We also would happen, asked God forbid, if there was an emergency in any of our homes. Many think that this planning (VOID) of the works can not be consistent with any emergency plan and public security, since, as I said, we are caught in a mousetrap.

And if that were not enough, we fear that some unscrupulous hurt our vehicles outside our houses are totally exposed and we doubt very much that the city has had the foresight needed to increase police controls in this area.

We want the council speak to the company that has outsourced and required to take into account all kinds of preventorias precise measures and public security, plus the construction is finished as soon as possible. Having regard to the time they are taking to end the first section (a month or less) we fear that await us over 15 days without being able to enter or leave our homes motorized. A greeting.

I share all this, I am a neighbor of that street and the question to the authorities is if an emergency occurs, how do they access the homes? ... Ambulances ... etc ...
