One of the promoters of the Ciutat de Dénia Prize for the Formation of Adult People, Miquel Florenci Bononat i Escrihuela, has been selected by the contest to receive recognition this year.
Bononat i Escrihuela has been a historical impeller in the processes of educational, sociocultural and linguistic valencianización, especially those destined to the adult population. The jury of this twentieth edition has also valued its role as a promoter of the territorial coordinators of the defense of the language and its subsequent integration into the Federació d'Associacions per la Llengua, which has become the Valencian School.
This year's award winner is also a teacher who has worked in the training of trainers since the Workshop on Renewal of Adult Education (TAREPA-PV), the union of the teaching workers of the Valencià Country (STEPV ) And other organizations.
The councilman of Culture, Rafa Carrió, has explained that Bononat i Escrihuela "has carried out a work of animation and promotion of permanent training that now receives the recognition it deserves".
The 20th City of Denia Award for Adult Training will be delivered on June 16, at 20 hours, in the auditorium of the Social Center. Prior to the presentation of the award, David Abril Hervás, geographer, doctor in Education Sciences and deputy of the Parliament of the Balearic Islands will give the conference "Education and training throughout life, the empowerment of citizenship and institutional and institutional commitments".
