The traditional semiannual chaos returns

January 02 from 2020 - 10: 20

To start the year, after such traditional festivities as the Christmas and New Years Eve, we continue with the usual appointments. In this case, not the ones we received with champagne and gala dresses, but one that we attended with clumsiness, disbelief and more than one anger. We talk about the biannual change of parking on several of the roads in Dénia.

Today, January 2, changes the direction again when parking. And from early, because at 09:00, as they have warned from the City Council the last days with notifications and in several channels of information, the vehicles of several streets had to be parked on the sidewalks in front.

This usually causes, and this time is not at all different, that the more and less early risers fight for who is right when parking. The police have got to work very soon to try to clarify the inevitable chaos that this generates, because on both sides of the road there are just rows of cars parked causing long plugs. We have even attended cases in which some vehicle, with the best intention of trying to park on the now correct side, has been prevented from taking action by the cars that followed since this would generate a new cut.

According to the Municipal Traffic Ordinance, the streets are affected by this change: Quevedo, Historian Palau, Colón (between San José and Vicente Andrés Estellés), Pare Pere, Cartagena, Mestre Serrano, Benissa, San José, Calpe, Independencia and peace.

Chaos. There is no better word to define it then, until normality returns, we intuit that throughout the morning, the picture is inevitable.
