The war between some residents of the Les Roques neighborhood and the president of the association is still open. It all started after the president's request that parking be prohibited in five of the neighborhood streets for not complying with the width required by the regulations. A large group of neighbors raised their voices against this decision and collected signatures to stop the request.
On April 6, the mayor notified a decree void left article prohibiting parking in these five blocks to the peace of the residents affected during the next six months, which would study the situation.
But the surprise came when, at the end of the month, the neighbors have known that the president has presented an appeal before the decree requesting to continue prohibiting parking. In the application document, the president calls for enforcing the rules "given the narrowness of the streets of the neighborhood that prevent the passage of emergency vehicles (...) and since they prevent the exit of neighbors from their homes and it has not been possible to access to pick up and leave sick people at the door of their house ".
This application is based on that "It is clear that it is not a traffic congestion or other circumstantial reason that generates the need to stop the execution of article 34, since it should have been applied since its publication in 2008".
Neighbors complain that this resource has not been voted in assembly nor has enjoyed his opinion for submission by check in the municipal council.
A blog against the president
Neighbors, fed up with the attitude of the president of the association, have enabled blog roquesbarri in which they denounce their actions, their lack of dialogue and their "desire for prominence" through articles of opinion in which they demand his immediate resignation.
