The UNED Summer Courses reach their 33rd edition, which will be held from June 29 to July 27 at the Dénia, Xàbia and Benidorm, both online and face-to-face, in addition to the one scheduled at the Alicante prison psychiatric hospital, only face-to-face. The mayor of Denia, Vicent Grimalt, has presented the program this week at the town hall with the director of the associated center of the UNED Dénia, Raquel Martí, the coordinator of university extension, Jaume Tortosa, and the Councilor for Education, Melani Ivars.

Vicent Grimalt has highlighted in his speech that the UNED of Dénia "is a priority academic and university institution for the Dénia City Council to develop our University City project for various reasons such as the roots of more than 40 years in our territory, the thousands of people from the region who have obtained degrees in their classrooms, the recent chair of Equality and Agenda 2030 that they have granted and that has economic collaboration from the city council and, of course, for the high level of the Summer Courses that it has been carrying out for decades and that have made her the dean of university summer courses in Spain”.

The director of the UNED Dénia, for her part, recalled that the associated center turns 42 this year and will celebrate it with an act at the Social Center on June 28. A career that highlights "the enormous variety in terms of areas of knowledge and the commitment to inclusion, respect for diversity, equality and environmental sustainability." She has also made reference to the center's involvement in the 2032 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). But, above all, "we are proud of the human capital that collaborates in the courses, both teachers and administrative staff."

As for the 2022 Summer Courses, Raquel Martí has highlighted that they are "attractive, educational, avant-garde and, fundamentally, they are spaces for reflection, debate and communication".
